Helen Reddy was diagnosed with Addisons Disease over 20 years ago by the same doctor who diagnosed the late US President John F. Kennedy with the illness.

Helen Reddy speaking on Addisons Disease Awareness Week says, "I am thrilled to learn that there is finally an organization for people with Addisons Disease."

Helen Reddy is a great inspiration to all people with Addison's Disease as despite having the illness she has managed to achieve remarkable things. Her hit singles include "I Don't Know How To Love Him", "I Am Woman", "Leave Me alone", (Ruby Red Dress,) "Angie Baby", Delta Dawn" and "You And Me Against The World".

She had a starring role in the Disney film, "Pete's Dragon" and appeared in "Airport 75" as the singing nun. In the theatre, Helen had starring roles in productions of "Anything Goes", "Call Me Madam," The Mystery of Edwin Drood", "Blood Brothers" and "Shirley Valentine."
